Ranger In Danger

In this 3D Comedy-Horror Platformer, the player will take control of Ranger Rob, a young, scrappy, up-and-coming ranger recruit who has just been given a position in the great Appalachia. But on his second day, Ranger Rob’s helicopter crashes deep within the mountain range, hundreds of miles from civilization. Rob was the only survivor and must use all of his skills, and perhaps discover some new ones, to make his way back to the ranger outpost alive. But beware, there are ferocious animals and treacherous terrain all about the great ranges, and that’s not considering what creeps out after dark…

Ranger in Danger is a team project for the 651 Prototype Game Development course at the Academy of Art University. This project consists of the complete first level of Ranger in Danger, showcasing all of the mechanics and systems.  It was developed over the course of six weeks by a team of two designers, two 2D artists, and two 3D artists/designers.

This game was designed and created in 5 weeks by a small and dedicated team of student developers at the School of Game Development @ Academy of Art University.
