Canvas Caper

A mysterious entity has begun to drain all color and value from the world. It is up to Nib, your ragdoll protagonist, to fight to save creativity from total, dreary annihilation!

This single-player 3D hack-n-slash platformer drops the player into the role of a ragdoll made of raw, blank canvas in a stylized world. Something is going very wrong – the color has begun to drain from the world around you, and there’s a heavy sense of encroaching dread at the thought of the bleak, monochromatic future that would create. Armed with a fountain pen polearm, cut through groups of enemies while exploring, collecting ink, stitching yourself together, and investigating what has happened and how to restore the color and creativity to the world before it’s too late! Gameplay feel and visual style inspired by It Takes Two, Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, and Epic Mickey.

This game was designed and created in 8 weeks by a small and dedicated team of student developers at the School of Game Development @ Academy of Art University.
